Review of Fata Morgana (1972) by Luke B — 11 Jul 2008
As part of Herzorgs experimental artistic works it's a visual treat. For anybody not interested in suh things it's a bore. The film has endless tracking shots of desolate landscapes accompanied by a bizarre voice over detailing a fantasy world.
Some men discuss animals and so forth. Some of the images are very striking and the overall feel is that of a dream, weird pieces strung together and open to interpretation. Alternatively you can brush it off as just darn weird.
