Review of Fat Girl (2001) by Juan V — 27 Apr 2012
An incredibly disturbing look into the lives of two adolescent girls, one mature but young and the other one immature and older. It's very clinical and it's as subtle as you expect it to be, but it's a fascinating experience and the 2 lead girls are absolutely incredible in their roles while at the same time Catherine Breillat directs this film with an undeniable passion in which every element combines to create an emotional tsunami that devastates even the most experienced viewers.
However... as I mentioned before, the film is very graphic and it's extremely unpleasant so those that are prudish or extremely sensitive should stay away.
