Review of Fast Food Nation (2006) by Alyssa M — 02 May 2008
I think this movie is brilliant. It's been criticized because people say that the message isn't conveyed strongly enough because there were too many stories going on at once. But that is what I love about it.
Just because the title is Fast Food Nation doesn't mean it's telling us to stop eating it. It's just people with everyday concerns and they all just have one thing in common: they work for fast food.
I believe what makes this a great movie is that everyone can enjoy it and interpret it anyway they want...it can be about "The American Dream", it can be about how great titles can deceive etc etc.
But what I like about this movie is that the teenagers show they have *other* concerns in life and not just dating, sex and popularity which most famous teen movies seem to focus on.
