Review of Fast Food Nation (2006) by Marco B — 20 Jul 2008
GRADE A MOVIE !!!
I really appreciate this movie because it's not just about fast food industry, it's also a big metaphor comparing american people to cattle industry (prisonner of their own fear, eating modified food that make them sick, and going to be exploited for everything they can give until they die). I also liked the fact that there is some hide critics about our american way of life everywhere in the story (sometimes in images, sometimes in words).
My only deception is that there is too many differents storylines that could've been exploited further. And at first I thought the ending was kinda sad but I realized later that it was better this way because the power lies in our hands to act and create our own happy ending. This movie is a must if you're concerned about everything we do wrong in our society. ENJOY YOUR SPIRITUAL MEAL ! :).
