Review of Fast Food Nation (2006) by Dan H — 24 Oct 2008

Well, it didn't do the book justice, but to do the book justice might take upwards of four hours or more, so...For a movie, it was alright. It had several scenes that were unnecessary, and several wonderful actors, like Greg Kinnear and Ethan Hawke, seemed hampered by what might have been a very controlled script.

The movie also spread itself very thin by trying to cover too many issues in one sitting. It's worth watching as a preliminary excursion into the impact of the way we eat upon the way we live, and if you want to depress yourself, but other than that, take the time to read the book.
