Review of Fast Food Nation (2006) by Courtney B — 11 Mar 2009

Definitely have seen better from Linklater (take a look at Dazed & Confused, Slacker, A Scanner Darkly for example) and I think this movie was way out of his style. Nevertheless, it was a very interesting take on the many components involved in America's fast food industry.

I expected a comical satire; what I got was a very depressing downer of a story, so expect that if you have not seen it. Even though I have not read the book, I think there is definitely a lot in the book that was left out in the movie as it was short and sweet.
