Review of Fast Food Nation (2006) by Vanessa J — 29 Dec 2009
The book is incredible. The movie was definitely not as good. It touches on all bases of concern when it comes to the industry, but this script is sooo frenetic. It would've just worked better as a documentary, since that's what it is.
Eric Schlosser even said himself that they set the book aside and just created a mosaic of fiction. The subject matter will always be hard-hitting and important to expose to the public, but as a fictional film it was mediocre.
