Review of Fast Five (2011) by Ellis W — 15 Dec 2012
I loved the whole series of adrenaline-rush car racing. My second favorite of the series was Tokyo Drift because of all the action sequences. Director Justin Lin brought the series to a whole new level with a plot rarely seen in this genre. The movie was never a letdown, action sequence and action sequence. And please don't complain about the physics about the grand chase, that is definitely besides the point. Only small qualm is the plot hole at the end, but is overshadowed by everything else.
Oh and also, great looking cast and Han is back!
SPOILER: also featuring one of the manliest fight scenes I have seen.
I also really loved how when Dom won that car, Justin Lin was able to hold back the urge of showing the race and show that they drove back with the car. That was one of my favorite minor scenes of the movie.
