Review of Fargo (1952) by Jeremy S — 21 Oct 2013
As somebody who loves the Coen Bros. more for their wacky and original comedies than for their often very darkly funny, fish-out-of-water crime thrillers, it took me a while to warm up to "Fargo." I must say it is still nowhere near my favorite from them, but they do well with writing a dark, violent story and setting it in a rather quiet, conservative atmosphere (the American Midwest), all while splashing on some humor to make the tone lighter than it really should be.
A must watch for fans of movies in general, you betchya!
