Review of Fargo (1952) by Tom B — 15 May 2016
You know that Fargo is a great movie, because unlike most other recognized films of this era, it's still a hoot to watch twenty years later. I saw this when it was first released, but remembered nothing except Steve Buscemi and snow.
An smart unpredictable dark comedy crime-caper was rare mix to find back in the late nineties; and even today, very few quality pictures like this are made. Both Buscemi and William H Macy deliver stellar hysterical performances that couldn't be duplicated if a sequel or remake was ever attempted.
