A serenely beautiful imagining of a few days of the French Revolution from the point of view of a woman whose job it was to read to Marie Antoinette, 'Farewell, My Queen' oozes a sensual decadence, a frilly depravity, and a wheezing desperation as the court of the King of France attempts to function in the face of its imminent demise.
