Review of Far North (2008) by James R — 23 Jan 2012
Fascinated me with its stunning scenery but left me with a foul sensation. Two beautiful exotic ethno-designer fur-coat wearing women of an imaginary inuit?/mongolian? tribe roam about in an imagined but breathtakingly beautiful landscape, the ancestors of the older one having been brutally executed by the imperialistic enemy.
One day a ruggedly handsome man washes up and things slowly turn evil. The ethnographic beauty of it all provides a feel-good-about-this-movie factor. But it's fake in my opinion, the acting is tame and the story is thin and a bit creepy.
