Review of Far from the Madding Crowd (2015) by Lee A — 01 Jan 2016
I was incredibly bored -- perhaps I need to read the book or the movie should have been a mini series to properly explain itself. The romance felt too quick from the wealthy businessman and solider. Why do they love her ? Seeing her wash sheep or one valentine card ? -- and seeing her pretty face in the forest.
Mr. Oak love is understood and why she would lose her head and marry a man in a red coat just because of a kiss seems out of character for a supposedly smart independent woman. After watching the drown out romance we finally get two minutes of satisfaction at the end.
