Review of Far and Away (1992) by Sooper_Walrus — 28 Aug 2017
This movie is an interesting character study, showcasing the dynamic between Joseph, a poor Irish peasant who finds success in the New World, and Shannon, the wealthy daughter of a landlord who is let down by the american life.
It is an enjoyable film with relatable, likable characters and great acting (especially by Tom Cruise), but in the end it feels cheesy and predictable, with a rather unsatisfying ending.
