The main character for me is the vastness of the landscape, reminiscent of tanguy and other surrealists, as well as the flora and fauna that inhabits it (echoes of ernst and 18th centuy botanical drawings).
the story itself is a fable depicting how humans treat pets/vermins or anything they try to dominate and they consider to be "inferior".
