Review of Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009) by Kyle M — 06 Dec 2012
Wes Anderson is without a doubt the weirdest director ever. Fantastic Mr. Fox, like Moonrise Kingdom, is a whimsical and sweet movie about being true to yourself. He had a lot to say about the world we live in now; what it is that drives us.
Continually digging holes could not be more spot on. George Clooney had the easiest job of his career by just putting on a quirky voice and reading lines. There's a lot to be had here. The stop-motion adds to Anderson's style.
I don't think this movie is for everyone, but it was entertaining and very thought provoking, especially for an animated movie. Very funny, and very sweet.
