Review of Fantastic Mr. Fox (2009) by Dave M — 11 Feb 2013
Nothing negative to say here. I was smiling ear to ear throughout. Except for the oft instances that Anderson always squeezes in when the character discovers something powerfully emotional about his/her existence.
Fuck, I loved this movie. One of the year's best. Unless, you hate Wes Anderson, which I know some of you do. Even so, it's one of his most accessible and enjoyable. Apparently, a lot of people have been complaining about the Americanization of Dahl's book.
I read the book as a kid, but not with a British accent. I can see how some might be pissed, but this aspect really did not bother me. It's an adaptation, not an audio book.
