Review of Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007) by Eric N — 05 May 2013
Solid story and better pacing - a big improvement. Still aimed at families but at least this time families can enjoy it as well as comic geeks like me! And hey, the story was a very satisfactory amalgamation/truncation of not one but TWO classic storylines! And it manages to illicit some emotions from me - a powerhouse director who's actually a lifelong FF fan could've made this the most amazing superhero movie ever, at least in 2007, perhaps even beating The Avengers in wow-factor.
Unfortunately, this is just above average superhero fare. Huge improvement though. I have it on blu-ray. Silver Surfer rules.
