Review of Fantastic Four (2015) by Jgragg23 — 08 Aug 2015

Overall the Fantastic 4 was fine. There was potential for it to be a 7 or an 8, but there a few things that hurt the movie. There were a few scenes that felt way too short and oddly cut. One of those scenes was when Reed was found by the military and they sent Thing to get him. I wish there was an actual fight scene between Reed and Thing. That would've made that scene so much better. Instead it abruptly ended with Reed getting knocked out.

Another thing that bothered me was the CG. There were times where it looked like a low budget science fiction movie. It's almost like they got lazy and didn't care.

I was really looking forward to seeing Dr. Doom, but I thought he looked stupid. There was definitely an improvement from the last two Fantastic 4 movies. He was easily the coolest part of the movie though. The best part was when Doom escaped and he was blowing people's heads up.

With a few tweaks this movie would've been great, but as it is it's getting a 6 out 0f 10 from me. Hopefully they don't make the same mistakes in the sequel if they are even still planning to make it.
