Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is a 2018 fantasy film directed by David Yates. It is the sequel to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
While the settings and visual effects are sumptuous and superb, there just isn't enough substance here. The narrative is thin and weak, and at times confusing. I did enjoy the links with Hogwarts, and the big revelation towards the end, but there are just far too many scenes of people wandering and searching with little associated action.
