If the first Fantastic Beasts film was joking titled "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find the Plot" then this Fantastic Beasts film can only be called "Fantastic Beasts and How to Ruin a Plot.

" Ho boy. There are so many retcons to the Harry Potter cannon and ridiculous plot twists that this movie made my head spin. The characters have no motivation, and honestly the special effects aren't that good.

There is no doubt in my mind that JK Rowling is deep in the midst of her "George Lucas" phase. Time will only tell if she will sell her franchise and a an established producer will attempt to save it like George, though.
