Review of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018) by Jeffrey M — 19 Nov 2018
The movie marks a good transition from the first film, which is focused more on the exciting and beautiful world of magical creatures, to a darker, more sinister story that increasingly converges with the Harry Potter universe as we know it from the first seven books.
The cast works out very well, with Jude Law and Johnny Depp doing an exceptional job at portraying Dumbledore and Grindelwald. This movie does precisely what it was meant to do: it sets the stage for grander, darker and more epic films to come.
