Review of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald (2018) by Katie M — 21 Nov 2018

I came into this film REALLY wanting to like it, but it was abysmal. Plot? What plot? There was too much going on, the attempts at inclusivity felt forced and clumsy, half the characters were basically there as props, and I didn't feel like anything really HAPPENED for the two or three hours this movie was running. I could have seen an entirely different movie and still had the same level of understanding of this one.

Again, I desperately wanted to like this movie. I have grown up with the books, read them several times each, seen the films so many times, I practically know every line. But this was awful.
