I believe I'm alone in saying that I don't believe that these films have to always tie into the HP story. Like, I get they have to lead up to it, but this is one of those times where the journey should be greater than the destination; which many of the critics choose to ignore.
On its own, it's funny, clever, beautiful, and (wait for it) fantastic. As an HP movie, is still quite good, but not the best.
