Review of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016) by Freddie S — 19 Dec 2016
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them at first seemed odd to me. You've got 8 films, and now a 9th film as a prequel/ spin-off. It could go horribly wrong. They brought in the perfect screen writer, the author of the books J.
K. Rowling. They brought back the director who made some of the best films in the original series. They got some big actors and some talented new actors to bring the new characters to life. Then they landed some amazing visuals with a great score.
That's a beast of a film. The only negative as I said would be the crowded story-line. I'm not saying it should have focused solely on Newt trying to find lost creatures in New York, which could have been kind of boring.
They just had a lot of different plots/stories and maybe saving one or two for future films would have helped. If you loved any of the books or 8 films, you won't be disappointed. If you've never read or seen Harry Potter; 1.
you are probably a new born baby, and 2. you are in for a treat that's as delicious as anything in Honeydukes.
