Review of Fantasia (2015) by Simon A — 06 Oct 2012
Being introduced to Fantasia in the mid-1990s on video when I was a boy, I was really transfixed at the music and the images I saw on my television screen. It introduced me to classical music and my interest in the genre has grown ever since.
Each drawing is technically beautiful and of superb quality, and the film never fails to amaze me each time at how the Disney studios came up with such advanced ideas and images for 1938-1940. I shall never tire of the film, particularly now it is available for Blu-ray, and will continue to read and learn about its history.
My only gripe is the Pastoral Symphony, which is the segment that has got rather tiresome over time! My number one film of the Disney Animated Classics series.
