This is what I call a classic Disney movie. The idea to use classical music combined with animation was a great idea. They didn't need to use talking or sound effects to tell the story in this movie.
All they needed was the music and the animation; and it worked out great! This was a great way to get people people to listen to classical music and entertain them with visuals at the same time. The pieces that were used were great to listen to, and the animations attached to each piece were great and entertaining to watch.
It's hard for me to choose a favorite, since I like them all so much. I like the dancing flowers and plants, with the pixies changing the plants for passing season. I liked the one that showed the evolution of the planet Earth, with the early fish, the dinosaurs, and the continental shifts.
I did think it was sad when the dinosaurs died out, though. The one with the greeks myths was really good. It showed centaurs, satyrs, pegasus's, and even Zeus, who, for some reason, started attacking Bacchus, the god of wine.
The oen with the dancing animals was so cool, especially at the end, when all the animjals got together for one huge final dance number. The movie ended with a great scene, using "Night on Bald Mountain"; it showed the devil controlling ghosts and demons and doing with them as he pleased: transforming them, crushing them, dropping them into the fire, and so forth.
It was fantasmical and to a fantastic movie.
