Review of Fantasia (2004) by Cj W — 12 Nov 2013
Fantasia may be the most visually and audibly dazzling film I have ever seen, it literally just floods your retinas with astounding beauty, while gracing your ears with some of the most beautiful music of all time.
It is probably Disney's most singularly outstanding work, one that bears no resemblance to any of his other films, but nonetheless, retains the magic and splendor of all great Disney films. The film is really just an ode to Disney's love of animation, music, nature, and the strangeness of reality; it features every attribute of great Disney films, except it is far more visually stunning, almost to the point of overflowing your senses.
Also, it is among the trippiest films I have ever seen, so I definitely recommend it to any stoner film lover, but it will appeal to anyone who watches it. The only mistake Disney made was making this film 2 hours long, I dont think many viewers these days have the attention span to watch a film with no dialogue for that long.
But if you can stand it, you should definitely watch it.
