Review of Fantasia 2000 (2000) by Kyle N — 10 Mar 2008
Wow. Ummm, why mess with a good thing? I mean I do hate to rag on this, but is it just me or are all the animations too cartoony with the exception for maybe two of them (The Tin Soldier and the Elemental Story).
In MY opinion the Elemental Story is truely the only one which should be honored by being part of the Fantasia franchise. 1. bc its not overly hoaky and cartoonish. 2. It conveys real emotion and not some cheap laugh.
and 3. It has an adult or serious theme to it. The Tin Soldier one could also be considered a Fantasia worthy skit but idk im iffy on that one. And whats up with all these different hosts? C'Mon stick with what works! But overall it wasn't too bad.
I did enjoy the Donald Duck Noahs Ark one, The Pomp of Circumstance. Again not too bad of a movie, but it can never truely measure up to the original. Well Except for the elemental one (Firebird Suite).
