Review of Fanny and Alexander (1982) by Khoi N — 14 Oct 2007
This movie is a nearly perfect film. the ending was abrupt, but there wasn't any other way to end it, I feel. the sets, whether they were in a studio or actual houses, are amazing. you can really tell how much influential bergman is.
I love that every line of dialogue has significance and the acting couldn't be better. however long and slow-paced this film was, it was indeed worth it to view. now I really want to see the television version of this that's 5 hours long since some parts were explained as clearly as I would have liked.
but, the man's a genius.
