At no point was I expecting high cinema from Fanboys, even so I really wanted to like it. It's a cute story with heart, but ultimately fails to deliver a memorable experience. There's a handful of funny gags (and an even bigger handful of unfunny ones), some exciting cameos, and some great nerd references that only the biggest fans will get, but the movie experience is uneven and disjointed.
Its heart is in the right place, but the execution is severely lacking. It's not a terrible movie, but it's not one I could recommend, even to the biggest Star Wars fan.
