Review of Fanboys (2009) by Chris H — 30 Apr 2010

This is one of the worst comedies ive watched in 2009, it was terribly written, lousy character development, and it sometimes just made no sense at all. where do I even begin..

Well for those who don't know this story, its about some young adults who are huge star wars fans and they decided that they should sneak into skywalker ranch to be the first ones to see the phantom menace ( obviously a step back in time)so how can you screw up this simple story?

Well, lets start the jokes to begin with, it didn't grab my attention, it was just so boring, there were maybe 2 lines I got a chuckle at but every joke that was used was just straight up bad. It consisted of fart jokes, weed jokes, and star wars trivia that they did a terrible job at writting. I like star wars and all, but this just seemed like another film a star wars fan could hate on because it was just blatantly mind numbing.

The characters are ok, nothing really strikes out as a memorable character that you and your friends can remember or even relate to. the love interests of them film also don't make sense, its like they jump back and forth without reason and just go with the film because its what might make the film better.

So if your a star wars fan and want to watch a comedy based off of star wars fans, don't see it, your better off just hanging around pretending to make up your own plans invading the skywalker ranch.
