Review of Fanboys (2009) by Abel D — 22 Oct 2013
Ultimately too devoid of laughs, Fanboys lacks any real charm. Despite the cute references for SW fans sprinkled here there, and amusing cameos (Rogen, Smith, Shatner etc.), the film's childish & lazy script wastes its fun premise for cheap jokes, not helped by mediocre performances, lacking camaraderie which is vital for believable relationships, and very bland direction that has strong overtones of student project.
