Review of Falling Down (1993) by Mike D — 08 Jan 2010
Falling Down is a gripping and mostly funny depiction of a man who has just had enough. It stars Michael Douglas as the short tempered citizen who turns into a maniac on the run in the space of a day. Douglas does a brilliant job as he evolves throughout the film from pissed of citizen to madman to delusional family man.
Duvall is also good but is restricted by a unlayered charachter. Some of the directing is soppy and not detailed enough which makes me believe it would have been a much better film in the hands of The Coen Brothers but Schumacher does a fine job.
