Review of Faith Like Potatoes (2006) by Patrick R — 18 Jul 2009
What an amazing movie! And a complete surprise. I'd never heard of it until I saw it in a big red box at the grocery store. The movie uses actors and actresses we've never heard of to tell a story of real people in real struggle in a land most of us have never even heard of.
The cinematography and music are sublime. The characters are so believable! Based on a true story, the movie is profound and moving.
The language is PG (be prepared for subtitles to translate some dialogue in Zulu).
Faith Like Potatoes is absolutely on my top 10 movies of all time.
