Review of Fair Game (2010) by Mohammed K — 13 Apr 2011
Despite Liman's effort to go Cinà (C)ma và (C)rite the directing lacked urgency and the editing did not seem to find a rhythm - faults aside, this film was much better than I expected. Two wonderful and restrained lead performances impressively integrated with archival footage (thank you Medium Cool).
This could have been a melodramatic martyr's tale but instead focused on the problematic nature of power in the "Republic.".
