Review of Fair Game (2010) by Laurie S — 30 Mar 2011
I just got back from an advanced screening of this film and I can say without a doubt that this is one of the finest films of the year. Sean Penn and Naomi Watts are two of the best actors working today and they give two of the best performances of the year! I know that this film is political and because of this it will probably cost it some of the praise it deserves.
However, at the core this is a film about a marriage that goes through more than any other I have seen and a woman who is destroyed by the most powerful entity in the world but get up and fights for the man she loves.
This film is about right, wrong, and the pursuit of the truth but, at its core it is the most subtly beautiful love story. This film is something special! I recommend that everyone go out and see this film this weekend!
