Review of Fahrenheit 451 (2018) by John A — 26 May 2018
Lacking so much. I was excited to see how they treated the firehouse "pet" and was really waiting for the scene where his wife gets "fixed" by the technicians, but it's was lacking and twisted into another direction.
Would be three and a half stars for me if it was a stand alone film, but you have to really bring it when tackling such a powerful book. It really disappoints me when a film leaves out such key elements of the book, especially when that book is so widely read and the holes so obviously evident to what could potentially be most of the audience.
If this book holds a special place for you like it does for me, it will disappoint all the way through. It's as watered down as the "approved" books in the movie.
