Review of Fahrenheit 451 (1966) by Phillip J — 11 Feb 2008
A mediocre and annoying film adapted from a fantastic and important novel.
Montag's accent annoyed the heck out of me in this. I felt like the environment that Truffaut created was very unsure of itself. The score was WAY overdone and some of the scenes were trying to be more futuristic than they should have been.
Hopefully the 2008 adaptation will do justice to Bradbury's timely masterpiece.
