Review of Fahrenheit 451 (1966) by Lori E — 05 Mar 2008
Read the book in high school many moons ago. This movie (made in the 1960s) presents a future in which everyone is brainwashed and medicated/sedated so that they don't have to think. They sit in front of a giant screen tv and watch "reality tv".
I had some trouble with the fact that Julie Christie plays two roles (not sure why they didn't use two actresses). Good film.
