Review of Fading Gigolo (2013) by Vicente R — 01 Apr 2014
It could be a great movie but the under Turturro's heavy hand it misses the mark. It's only a comedy when Woody Allen is on the screen making fun of his own people, but it's not a Woody Allen movie, so it's just funny without the genius side of it.
Stone, Vergara, Schreiber... a lot of talent wasted on a mediocre script. Overall, a fading filmmaker lost in his own lack of originality.
