Review of Faces of Death (1978) by Giovanni D — 11 Oct 2008
By mixing horrific real images (in particular the seal clubbing had me turning away) w/ fake stuff (gotta love the bear and croc attacks!) this film is, w/out a shadow of a doubt, one of the most controversial, vile, fucked up, over the top, and, in a weird sort of way, important, influential, and for a time, highly ripped-off exploitation films.
hard to recommend it, really, but it doe bare watching for the brave and curious.
