Review of Faces (1968) by Bryan W — 04 Dec 2008
Ludicrously uncomfortable it its stark representation of romantic relationships, this film says more about marital strife in the first fifteen minutes than every film after it has combined. Most of the leads alternately come across as despicable and sympathetic and none of them are particularly attractive, making it much easier to concentrate on what they say, and both why and how they say it.
