This movie is so patently ridiculous that it forces you to turn your brain off and enjoy the explosions. Aside from the outrageous premise, this film features SWAT teams happily shooting machine guns at small children, the good guy throwing acid on prison guards during his daring escape, and the like "Peaches. I could eat peaches for hours.".
The film is problematic. It gets quite rapey, when it really should have just not gone there. It distracts from my childlike enjoyment of people shooting at each other.
The action is amazingly epic and well done. YOu cheer in all the right places.
Awesome movie.
I can't remember if the mum and daughter ever talked, so Im not sure if it fails the Bechdel test tho :(.
