Review of F for Fake (1973) by Tristan P — 14 Jul 2008
Possibly the most unique film I've ever seen, this kind of-documentary by the great Orson Welles anticiaptes the opinionated, rather one-sided and impartial "documentaries" or Michael Moore and, God help us, Morgan Spurlock.
This is also a must see for anyone with an interest in film editing. Always a groundbreaker, Welles's rapid fire cutting predates the "music video" approach the editing by about two decades!
SPOILER!
The "truth for an hour" revelation of the film is absolute genius!
