Review of Eyes Without a Face (1960) by Carl S — 21 Sep 2008
I preferred this more on my second viewing. This has a lot to say about make-up and the depths of appearance. Great use of sound (barking dogs in particular) and a slowly-soft approach mixes with real horror to give what could be a French noir a twist of the Cat People in terms of chills.
