Review of Eyes Without a Face (1960) by Orlok N — 02 Nov 2009
A rather slow (suspense is what they were going for, I am sure) French horror about face-replacement surgery. Strange because the French were the first to do this actual surgery about 45 years later! A doctor's beautiful daughter has her face horribly disfigured in a car accident.
He and his assistant kidnap young women and steal their faces in attempt to restore his daughter's beauty. Some stuff that is rather over-the-top for a movie this old, but mostly too slow and too 'French' for my tastes.
