Review of Eyes Without a Face (1960) by Jessi T — 07 Oct 2010
A fairly simple and familiar horror/mad scientist kind of plot, but handled in such a tactful way that it becomes a very memorable experience. This movie proves, along with the likes of "Alice, Sweet Alice" and "Halloween", that blank, expressionless masks are terrifying.
The audience is left to project our own fears onto these blank slates and see them reflected back and it's incredibly effective.
