Review of Eyes Without a Face (1960) by Timothy S — 24 Feb 2011
A creepy and quirky horror flick from Georges Franju, thankfully sparing us the all-out gore of "Blood Of The Beast" and instead delivering an almost noirish gothic horror fable about a plastic surgeon's murderous attempts to restore his daughter's visage.
The cast are all exceedingly good in their roles and whilst the pacing is a little off-kilter, the horror when it is delivers still packs a punch.
