Absolutely one of my favourite Kubrick movies, and those who don't like it just don't understand, or they just can't find anything to take away from it. Performances are top notch, especially that of Tom Cruise; he plays a man spiraling down the rabbit hole into a world of which he has no understanding.
Classic Kubrick shots and mise-en-scene. Sydney Pollack is always a pleasure to hear and seee, as well as Nicole Kidman. The story is the most of what gets me, it pulls me in and won't let me go. Eyes Wide Shut is a movie that, if I put it on, I have to watch it through to the end.
